yesterday i received a call from my mom's doctor in Miri GH, Dr Yusmadi. he called to ask me what are my arrangements so far. i told him i've spoken to his Dr Siti Mariam and that my mom will collect her referral letter plus all other reports this morning. then he asked about my mom's flight. once he knew that my mom's flying over on Thursday, he acknowledged in agreement, and finally told me that he has spoken to Dr Vicknesh of HKL. he made a comment that immediately warmed my heart. he said "i think you found the right doctor. he is good lah", and told me much more comments about that doctor. i am not sure if he is just trying to comfort me but heck, i feel really good after that phone call. i was literally high on mood.
i emailed Dr BK Lim of UMMC sometime ago. i never received his reply. and yesterday, an sms come in. he asked me and my mom to go see him on friday morning, which we were unable to. but finally we manage to shift the appointment to friday evening instead.
i'm not saying that my mom will recover speedily once we see any good doctors, but the fact that doctors DO return our calls, DO reply our sms-es, DO call up just to check on things.. i think this made them truly a hero.
