in search of a speedy govt hospital

mom's biopsy results came out today, it's confirmed cervical cancer stage 2B. no operation can be done, and she has to go through radiation and chemo treatments. the thing is there is no facilities in Miri general hospital, so Dr Yusmadi said i need to let him know which hospital we prefer. he was unable to identify a particular good doc or good hospital. indirectly, i am on my own, and the pressure to come up to a decision is on me..solely me.

since both me and my bro are in KL, we would definitely opt for KL hospitals first. Cheryl gave me a name through her friend, a very good doctor in UMMC (UH), but later we found out it's semi govt and i'm really worried about the charges. then there is HKL that we can consider but colleagues from the regulatory affairs dept told me that HKL is very congested and the queue would be very long.

if i have the financial ability, i need not consider that much. UH is occupied with good facilities, good doctors and it's nearer to my place. but now, i'm lost. i do not know what to do.

today is a very busy day for me. have been searching for a lot of info for my mom - on her diet, to the treatments required under different stages. then was asking around friends and colleagues on the hospitals in KL, if they have any contacts to pull-string. up till now, to no avail.

i shall not give up. tomorrow is another new day. i must have faith.
