simulation

yesterday i took leave again, to send my mom to the hospital for her simulation.

this time, i've got all things prepared. i searched online on what the process is all about, explained it to my mom so that she is ready for it, and i even packed some biscuits and water.

after making porridge for my boy, i speedily got ready. then off we went. we had lunch at dataran sunway before starting our journey. it was a tiring journey and it's my first time driving down to HKL. but it went alrite. i think i can manage to get the right routes the next trip.

the appointment is at 2.30pm but we reached there early. good thing cos after that more and more crowd came in for the queue. while waiting, i brought mom around, to see the ward and what else were there. its ward block looked alrite, but i still am worried if she would be used to the environment. imagine being there for the rest of a day just for a 5-10 minutes' radiation treatment. sigh..

when we returned to the waiting area, there was a speaker calling out her name. i accompanied her to the door of Room 16. Then i had a nice chat with my bro while waiting. Mom was inside for about 45 minutes. When she came out, i asked her what happened inside the room - she smilingly said it's similar to my printout. she didn't really understand what the nurses said while they tried to explained to her, but she knew cos we went through the online article beforehand.

my mom had mini tattoos marked 'x' on her body. those are to ensure the treatments are done at the right spot. no human error allowed when it comes to this.

now we are suppose to wait for their call. i'm still anticipating, hopefully very very soon. when the nurse explained to me, i humbly told her that my mom is all the way from Miri and that my dad is all alone there and he himself isn't at his best health. i do hope this statement adds points :)
